Putrajaya Photoshoot
A couple of weeks ago, Stan Chia, Charles Yang and Chun Howe suggested that we needed to go to Putrajaya for a photoshoot. We all had heard that how awesome Putrajaya was, wide roads, futuristic bridges, architecturally beautiful building with walking monkeys inside them. Alah, so nice place how can you not go?
Somehow, I fell asleep along the way and Stan was driving with Charles pointing out the way. When I woke up, we had arrived at Dataran Putra, one of the key landmarks/points in Putrajaya. There was the home of the iconic Putra Mosque (above), right next to the Putrajaya lake.
Reflections of the Putra Mosque, and you have to agree when they say that the golden hours for photography is dawn and dust. As light fell, the mosque started to light up, and honestly, it looked pretty good.
Stan setting up with kit at the Dataran Putra.
Charles setting up Stan's kit I think.... wait, why ah?
Perdana Putra, the Prime Minister's office with its iconic big green onion dome. And you would never have guessed that our Prime Ministers ain't exactly vegetarians. Can you imagine that one day, A&W would take over the building and start manufacturing our beloved onion rings inside?
Artistically Out-Of-Focus. Guess which building it is?
Any accidental exposure at the Seri Wawasan Bridge. I like the accidentally effect it had. The car's mata was like, on fire!
This time a proper shot of the Seri Wawasan Bridge.
From afar, the Palace of Justice, alongside the Seri Saujana Bridge!
A larger, closer shot of the Palace of Justice. If you actually go close enough, the interior architecture is just so intricate, you know? When like, the current human civillisation die out right, and another civillisation come, I bet they'll be in awe of this too, just like how we look at the Great Pyramids.
A shot from afar, the Seri Wawasan Bridge. Such a beauty, ain't it? :)
And all these without bringing my tripod and I had to pinjam from Stan from time to time. Imagine if I had my tripod fulltime? *lansi* Anyways, my package has just arrived in JB from the UK (yeppie!) and I will able to get my tripod soon! Yay!
Ok la, that's all for this photography post. I need to go back one day la!
*hugs my Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM in glee*

Manchester
On a bright earning morning in mid-April, me and me friends decided to make a trip up to Manchester for a short day trip. Ahead of us, Adlan and Stan had already went ahead, and I was suppose to make it up with another friend, and unfortunately she missed the darn train... so, lol, I kena ffk'd!
So then, on a clear sunny morning, I made it up myself to meet me mates!
At the Manchester Picadilly train station.
And after meeting up with them, we headed off for Manchester's most most most famous attraction in the world...
OLD TRAFFORD!!!
ah, wait. this is the cricket ground punya old trafford... wait a while har...
YEA LAH! OLD TRAFFORD!!!
The stadium itself is not in the Manchester city center itself, but rather, located several stops outside of the city. It is reachable by tram, which only costed us a few quid.
And when I arrived, two familiar faces were there to greet me! HELLO!
Me there.
Right outside the museum, it was showing a clip of last last Champion League's final, when John Terry missed his penalty kick. lol~
We went through the museum while we moved to where the tour was to start.
To the Theatre of Dreams!
As we saw this amazing view!
The tour guide brought us around the stadium, telling those people who don't know about the Munich 6 February 1958, when 23 out of the 44 people died, 8 being of the MU first team then.
I shot quite a few panoramas... haha, excited what. Nice or not? Very big right?
We were then allowed to enter the locker room, where the players were allowed to change and rest before and after the match.
Korean!
We then after keluar'd again onto the pitchside, where the dugout was located.
Eh? Familiar sight?
"GOOD BALL!"
And yea la, basically, after the tour ended, we just floated around the museum, looking at all the different trophies and players MU had managed to win and bring up over the years.
And before we left, the Holy Trinity of George Best, Bobby Charlton and Dennis Law!
And after we went back to Manchester itself, while we had some really awesome dimsum (dimsum in Manchester is aweeeesome!) Stan's camera decided to convert itself into a MU fan too! :D
And soon after, Stan and Adlan left Manchester, leaving poor old me behind. But nevermind, I got my baby camera! Off to snap a couple of pictures of Manchester!
Above, a small panorama of the Excheque Square, sorta like the town sq of Manchester.
One thing I realised about Manchester about itself was that it was small... so small! In fact, I pretty much managed to walk around Manchester on foot!
But one thing that had me pretty interested was its architecture!
One of the many typical streets of Manchester. Check out the variety of buildings down one single row...
This is its City LIbrary! Pretty interesting huh? The building behind actually envelops itself around the library in a semi-circle
This was taken further down South West Manchester, close to Salford Quay, the new development area of Manchester. Pretty huh?
Manchester's main exhibition hall I think? Pardon for bad exposure.
This is the Manchester Hilton hotel building. If you ask me, it looks completely wickeeddddd!
Ever seen a buidling being constructed of different coloured bricks?
And Manchester's very own Eye of Manchester!
Ok, that's all for Manchester. Where did Chunhowe go after that, being that we finished jalan-ing Manchester? Let's find out in the next post!!!

BRIGHTON - the boy, the camera and the Sea
Brighton pictures are up on my Facebook account! :D
Here's the link to my facebook album of my Brighton pictures. Click on individual pictures to zoom in, and click on the pictures to scroll to the next one. [LINK]
In addition, I have another album purely for just travel shots of the folks that I've taken, right [HERE].
Overall, the trip was pretty nice. Although honestly, Brighton had quite little attractions to offer, the beach was a sure-draw for me. Despite the gloomy weather, it didn't rain, and that was the most important of all.
Sitting on the pebble beach, throwing rocks into the ocean, enjoying the sea breeze. Perhaps that's why Brighton still retains its charm as a seaside city after so many years.
The fish and chips at the Bankers were alright. Although I must say that I'm demanding a refund for my teeny-weeny swordfish steak! I DEMAND MORE FISHHHH!
Another thing is, for people who don't have a blogroll or are unfamiliar with an RSS reader, I've installed a "subscription via email" tool, so that there's no need to keep checking back for updates (which I am guilty of not doing).
Step 1. Just type in your email in the box underneath the tagbox. A pop-up window will appear.
Step 2. Follow its instructions.
Step 3. Confirm your subscription through an email link to the feedburner website.
You'll automatically receive any updates from my blog via email then. Easy?
Alrighto, that's all for this post. :) Enjoy the pictures!
PS. Eh? the subscription doesn't seem to be working. Will fix it up asap. Subscribe first la, ok? :P

The Pictorial Journeys: The Task in Belfast
Day 4
Day 1 link
Day 2 Part 1 link
Day 2 Part 2 link
Day 3 Part 1 link
Day 3 Part 2 link
The day started off bright sunshine and a clear sky, looking forward to our trip to the coast of Ireland, specifically, the Giant's Causeway.
But before we do, here's another dosage ofunhealthy breakfast!
Don't you just love breakfasts with large servings? yum!
And so, we whisked ourselves off for a long bus ride, running along the coastal lines of Ireland. The scenery along the way was stunning, but not as stunning as we were about to be.
We finally arrived at the Giant's Causeway (note the words "National Rust" behind). For people who are uncertain of what it is, here's our friendly friend, wikipedia!
When we arrived, the weather had deteriorated much, to our dismay. It had started to drizzle and the guide said that if we wanted, we could just rest and chill out at one of the restaurants around.
Like what? After coming this far and not making it till the end? Hell no! *rush of heavy waves clashing against the coast*
And after a walk of nearly 15 minutes, we finally arrived at our UNESCO heritage site: The Giant's Causway!
To understand why Giant's Causeway is called so, there was once 2 giants who wanted a duel. So one of them decided to build a bridge from Ireland where he was staying, to Scotland where the other was. Upon arrival, the cari-pasal giant saw from afar how big the other giant was and quickly ran back with his tail between his legs.
"fee fo fum. We are the newest rock band - The Old Giant Pair!" (crap. I didn't realise that it was me, not Adlan in the picture).
When the Scottish giant knew that the Irish had come but ran back, he went across to challenge him. (WTH? people don't want to find trouble with you liao, you go find him for what?) The Irish giant was scared, quickly pakat'd with his wife (they had wives!?), and jumped hid in a crib inside his house (have babies somemore!?).
When the Scot Giant knocked on the door (knocking on doors... -.-"), the wife opened it but said he wasn't in. The Scot caught a glimpse of how huge their "baby" was and thought: "OMG, how possibly huge could the Irish be!?" In fear, he ran back across, tearing up the causeway as he went.
So much for a tale of the Giant's Causway right? Haha! But anyway, as we went on, we took more and more pictures. I bet by now you should have seen the hexagonal columns sticking on from the ground right?
As we posed and posed for more shots: A "We-Are-Power-Ranger" shot.
And we had to make a "WHO-AMM-IIIiiii~?" shot!
"YOU ARE THEREEEe!"
Haha, ok la, enough of processed shots. Let's stick with something original:
Climbing the columns till the highest one! And knelling against the battering winds! (actually want to stand up, but couldn't because I scared of falling down/dying/disfiguring my lengzai face, my most important asset)
And yea, as time went by, the weather got from bad to worse. But being the fighters that we were, we pushed on!
"OK OK I'M COMING!" (actually this was taken close to the entrance, but it kinda seem to fit the theme)
Giant's Boot with a lot of errr... sea foam. Giant's Saliva?
This is the Giant's Organ, which seems to fit as they ran up vertically like organ tubes.
Opera material la, this two.
Here's a seriously photoshopped photo which I think I did a screw job out of. The greens are over saturated and the brightness is uneven, which was apparently the case (I took a look at Adlan's pictures, the same). But got Wendy lenglui inside so if I don't post this, she'll kill me. So yea la, here it is.
Me taking shots behind.
Me taking shots from another angle.
OK OK I ADMIT I WAS POSING!!!
...
And so anyway, we spent almost 3 hours there, walking around and "enjoying" the wind. Which was apparently turning into a storm.
A REALLY STRONG ONE!
But to keep our morale up, we sang songs mighty from the top of our lungs, like 浪花一朵朵,澎湖湾 and 笨小孩. When we finally arrived back at base, many people were staring at us, like wth? Haha!
But nevertheless, the strong trio managed to make it back, undamaged and unscathered. Hmmm, let's see, a cuppa hot chocolate would do the trick!
And before we knew it, we were on the bus back from our amazing trip from the Giant's Causeway. Awww... Nevermind also, in a few hours or so, we had rested and we headed on for dinner under a recommendation from the receptionist. Whose name I had forgotten.>_<
Wendy writing her postcard to kirim back home, next to a real fireplace. Damn got mood la, right?
The restaurant had excellent deco, and the setting was superbly placed in a pub. We enjoyed ourselves a lot the entire day, and just decided to chill out after a hard day's travelling to a delicious meal and a bit of wine.
This was my steak... superb ok?
I think this was goose's liver/foie gras (if i remember correctly).
Adlan's duck slices, which he reluctantly shared with us, I must quote... "NO! THE LAST PIECE IS FOR ME!"- Adlan
Haha, and yea la, that's the end of our enjoyable 4th day. And here's a small secret to round it off...
Secretly... shh... WENDY's ACTUALLY A LEPRECHAUN! A MALE ONE SOMEMORE!
GASP!

The Giant's Causeway (or Irish: Clochán na bhFómharach)[1] is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. It is located on the northeast coast of Northern Ireland, about two miles (3 km) north of the town of Bushmills. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986, and a National Nature Reserve in 1987 by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. In a 2005 poll of Radio Times readers, the Giant's Causeway was named as the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom. The tops of the columns form stepping stones that lead from the cliff foot and disappear under the sea. Most of the columns are hexagonal, although there are also some with four, five, seven and eight sides. The tallest are about 12 metres (36 ft) high, and the solidified lava in the cliffs is 28 metres thick in places.
When we arrived, the weather had deteriorated much, to our dismay. It had started to drizzle and the guide said that if we wanted, we could just rest and chill out at one of the restaurants around.
