White, heavy snow falls on the shoulders of Hand, some howe.

The last time since it snowed in London was in January, for a short while which was only about 1-2 cm thick. This time...

HO HO HO~

IT WAS HUGE!

Having heard the news, I had already known about the news that it might snow on Monday/Tuesday. Well, this was how it was like around Sunday night:

 

  

3 cm THICK OK? I specially spent a lot of strength to karate-chopped off a chuck for you guys... See? Sweet isn't it? 

However, I wasn't really excited by that... After all, I already had experience in playing snow in the middle of the night *ahem ahem* *cheyyyyy~*

Woke up this morning to the voice of my roommate calling his colleagues. He noticed me waking up and told me:

"Howe, all bus services have been stopped today. I'm not sure if the tube is working." 

Uhuh... WHAT? 

OMG LA! THIS IS ONLY CALLED "SNOW" MAH!!!!

So despite all the excitement and stuff, I decided to go back to sleep. (9am is really too early for me to wake up, alright?)

And after I woke up, pro-lly round 10am, I went about my yard and my front door for a few shots:

And being ill-ly equipped (in shorts and a blue Tshirt), I went back to my room messing around with my stuff. Was chatting with Andrew and I decided that I should go out to grab a few pictures before the snow melted, to see how snow would affect the local lifestyles.

Yup, clearly winter attire. Wait. I forgot my shoe.

So I went around resnapping my yard, this time better clothed.

After I finished playing hide-and-seek with Mimi, I decided to take a walk to my bus station, which normally would take 10 minutes to reach. They had a small park and a market square there, and I was interested to know what's happening.

Snow... and the paths are actually ice'd from pressurised snow (you step on them)! So it gets really, really slippery.

Yup, a lot of people didn't even bother to go out to work today. How to drive? Haha, even the people at the public transport asked us to "not go out if completely unnecessary". Looks like I'm looking for trouble right? No choice what, have to update for the sake of my beloved readers. :whistles:

And there they were! Playing with snowballs!

Yea, but interestingly, most of them were middle-eastern/pakistanis/northern indians. You wonder why right?

Oh yea, not forgetting an asian chinese dude walking around taking pictures.

Talking of child support.

And after a walk-around of 1 hour (the walk there took me 20 mins), I couldn't wait to get back to my cosy warm room! According to my roommate (who braved the snow and walked to work today), the snow was almost 15 cm thick. Despite the snow melting as we speak, I really hope it snows again tomorrow - I want to play snowball battlefield!

'09 NYE! Fireworks @ the London Eye

YUPPPP New Year's Eve of 2009, my bunch of friends at cari.com.my met up for a dinner-cum-Karaoke-cum-fireworks display at the London Eye!

Ok la, so now, here're the photos of the fireworks celebrations!!!!!

We arrived quite some time (approx 2 hours) before 12 midnight to chop a place, passing time by chatting and taking photos with each other.

At 12midnight chunt-chunt, the fireworks went off!!!

I didn't bring my tripod, so all of my pictures were taken hand-held. So cannot take nice-nice shutter time photos. Oh well... Lazy la! :D

I took almost 2 GBs (200+ shots) of photos. Went I scrolled through them quickly, they looked like a bloody animation of fireworks, quite memerising y'know?

Ok la, that's all for my New Year Eve of '09 update! May all of you people have a great year ahead, with all your wishes achieved and hopes granted! May my Canon 10-22mm come rolling around the corner too! Or maybe I should look at the Tokina 11-16mm... got f2.8 wor, better for night scenes. But again, it's not as zoomie as the 10-22mm...

It was -3C in London today. I just couldn't resist this... Imagine the expression of the owner tommorrow when he sees this. LOL!

Get a full time job.

Improved cooking skills.

A nice pillow to sleep on.

A warm pair of slippers to wear at home.
Continuous understanding from my friends and family, extending from my erratic character.
Health and happiness for my friends and family.
Never to stay hungry for too long.

No girlfriends (Pre-emptive measure, I promise). 

Too greedy, have I been? :)
