The Story of An Accountant.

Today, ah-boys and ah-girls, Chunhowe-shushu wanna tell you a story of a Young Accountant:

*cue wavy waters and sound of harp*

Once, there was this Accountant who lived in this very rich and expensive country. Even so, He lived frugally (at least he thought so) and kept an record of his expenses as much as he could every month.

All was well, until one month where he thought that he had excess savings and overspent slightly here and there. So at the end of the month, he thought that his books should balance and at the most, he should be slightly in the red.

However, to his horror! He went through his papers and realised that his estimates were way of the mark. The entire month had been full of happiness and joy that he had not only blew his budget, but also overspent into the next month! Horrified, he closed up the accounts of that month as fast as he could. He didn't dare to check if the previous month's estimates. It wouldn't do anymore things to it but to pile more misery.

So, he off-ed his laptop, and tried to sleep, but couldn't sleep. So he watched a movie, but he didn't know it was a 2 hour movie that he had downloaded. So he woke up the next day late for class and feeling sleepy. Out of desperation, he bought a huggeeeee cup of coffee and couldn't sleep that night too.

Moral of the story: Blarrrdy hell...! The more you know about your finances, the more it hurts.

And, Ignorance is NOT bliss. Ignorance is pure retardedness. People who can afford to remain ignorant about finances are pure lucky. Like me.

ps. there goes my year end holidays.
pss. I need to get a job soon. A fulltime one, btw, considering that I'm graduating next year.
psss. Any resemblence to any persons or objects, dead or alive is truly fictional. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
pssss. NO HOLIDAYS!!! ARGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Food for Thought: Justice is Objective.

Hmmm...

If someone were to kill others for their so-called "the greater good of mankind", what do you think?

If someone were to wage war on another for their so-called "to protect the poor", what would it mean?

Which side of the anime character would you stand on?

Returning back from reality, doesn't it strike an uncanny resemblance to the situation our world's in now?

Palenstine, Pakistan, Kenya, Israel etc etc. I believe all of them are fighting for their so-called beliefs and justice, that's why they're willing to fight.

Noble?

I don't really know. How would you differentiate a martyr from a suicide bomber? By their surname and dick size?

You know, I was discussing with my friend the other day about the war on Obama i mean, Osama by President George Bush. Other than him looking like a monkey... and being one, I can't help but shower bits of pity for him.

I mean, throw yourself in his shoes. You're the President of the USA. Tiba-tiba, while you were watching Man Utd thrash Arsenal 4-0 (woots woots), 2 big flies accidentally bang into the World Trade Center. Many people die, many jobs lost, economy confirm will go down. What will you do?

Are you going to face the people of USA on national tv and declare that "We will take revenge!" like a proper leader who is suppose to protect his people? Or you want him to utter to the whole world that "War will only take lifes. We will not go to war and we request that Obama Osama will turn himself in." which I guess you know how the outcome will be.

So basically, he had no other choice but to go to war. Completely played into a puppet by Osama. Poor thing right?

But that's the only thing I pity him about I guess.

He's still a monkey in a human suit.

I just finished a 25 episode anime series called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" (wiki). Its storyline comprises of a combination of deathnote and warfighting, telling the story of a 2010 Japan which has been taken over by the almighty empire of Britannia, with one of its forsaken prince, Lelouch Lamperough leading revenge and an uprising.

Now, now, this is not an anime blog, don't fret.

But before I stop, I must say that the Code Geass's quite nice lah. War flick plus minimal romance and tactical mind games. There was a part where Lelouch kinda screwed up, and I was shouting "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SCREWED UP!?" to my innocent computer screen.

And 2 episodes later, I was still muttering to myself, "I can't believe he screwed up... I can't believe he screwed up...".

Repeat as necessary.

Now, now, now, this is NOT an anime blog, don't fret.

After I finished watching, I kinda related the whole experience to the "Kira-aka-Light" series. Both guys wanted to take over the world and fight for justice. Both got special powers. Both also fight fight fight, screwed up a bit (only exciting mah), end up in not so happy states.

I guess anime viewers don't like to see radical changes huh?

Oh well, "Code Geass: R2"'s coming out this April. Bet ya that I'll be waiting.

Regrets - Goodbye, My Good Friend.

Have you ever felt handicapped before?

Not about the terribly exciting game for the wealthy where you randomly swing metal sticks and then strenuously exercise by training your eyes to look small, tiny white balls in vast areas of greens.

I'm talking about being actually physically impaired.

I remember my Chemistry teacher in secondary school once told us a tale of his friend who woke up one day and suddenly realised that he had turned blind overnight.

And that we used to call him a "Terrorist" behind his back.

Just to show how fragile life actually is, you know. One day your friend can be doing a bit of night jogging, then to see him the next day bedridden forever due to a car accident. You never see such stuff coming along... Just like Rikimaru's or Phantom Assassin's Blinkstrike, see your back suddenly got a bit of blood, suddenly crit crit crit, then you start counting down 50 seconds again.

Btw, I stopped DotA-ing d. Chunhowe mature liao.

Back, I just saw a glimpsed of my own disability for a second a while ago.

I was switching SIM cards, when I wanted to use my *extended* fingernail on my right pinky which I had been keeping and maintaning for the past 2 years. A great and handy tool in times of urgent needs. You might never know when you'd need to pry something small, or point at a specific spot on the map, or scratch the inside of your nose when it gets itchy.

Suddenly, I realised that I had just snipped it off 5 minutes ago.

For a second, it dawned on me that I had just lost a great buddy, a helpful partner, a steady brother. Like I had just tok-ed off my dick.

I looked again at my right hand upright, palm facing me.

My pinky looked incomplete, as if a segment had just been chopped off.

Regrets, I have many.

Emo-nyer.

YouTube Project: Direct

I was surfing on YouTube this morning for a video clip of Man Utd's two-nil win over Reading. Superb one-touch by Rooney, as expected of him.

As I was doing so, I stumbled upon YouTube's Project Direct competition, where people are invited to submit video entries of their work. Extract:
Project Direct was a film challenge for directors with something to say. Of the many excellent short films submitted, 20 were selected as finalists by award-winning filmmaker Jason Reitman and a panel of industry experts. The YouTube community then voted for their favorites.
Yeap, the competition's was all over and the results were announced in December. =X But I still wanted to share the videos with you guys. I mean, okay... I'm outdated *rolls eyes*, but I do know a good film when I see one.

------
YouTube Project:Direct - Announcing the Winners:

The winners revealed. Just as a short introduction to what you're gonna see next. Skip if you have DotA on alt-tab.

------
Laços (Ties): Project: Direct 1st Place

It's a deep clip; while most of the dialogue is pretty mind-boggling, the actual meaning of the show hits on later. Well, I wouldn't actually flame the show, maybe due to the fact that it's in a foreign language, but I'll let you guys form your own opinions. Nice movement on the cameras too, definitely classy takes during the running scenes right in front.

------
Gone in a Flash: Project: Direct 2nd Place

This is my personal fave, as it's really a "sweat" kinda of clip. The dog's cute, but the chick's much cuter. Gosh, I'm blushing *lol* I'm no camera/video expert, but the extensive use of focus got me really tied, and the excellent music score gave the video clip a beautiful humorous touch to it, not forgetting that the actors rocked too.

------
My Name is Lisa: Project: Direct 3rd Place

A strong contrast to the prior films. It's simple in terms of camera effects, but the storyline completely stands out from the three, which twists in a sad tinge of melancholicity, very thought provoking. The young actor did well, and according to the director, the whole film was taken in a day. Cool huh?

------
So that sums it up, for the first three placing. Do remember to check 0ut the seperate video's cut scenes or directors vlog... then you'll be able to appreciate the clips better. Real good job done. Anyone up for a collab?

In a bombshell: Damn, I've gotta be more happening! I can't believe I missed this a month ago!!!

EDIT: HOLY SHIT! I JUST MISSED THE LONDON ART FAIR BY A DAY!!! GAHHH~

Jingle Jingle~

It's already mid of the month lah! Christmas is coming.. brrr...

Not that I celebrate it nor my parents celebrate it, even if I would love to. I mean, the whole idea of having a lot of people you know at your house all merrying and having fun together on a special occasion sure is good. It's so joyous and nice, you know, to be in the Christmas mood and listening to Christmas songs together. So, I suggested to my mum to have a Christmas BBQ cum gathering for our family friends just as a small get-together.

Dad: "That's a good idea!"

Mum: "ARE YOU KIDDING? DO YOU KNOW HOW TROUBLESOME IT IS? WHO'S GONNA DO THE CLEANING UP? "

=.="

Guess my mum doesn't let the spirit of Christmas touch her much eh?

------

Sunday's Super Sunday. Remember to catch it and not to specially come home early and then end up forgetting to watch your footie match, like me. Reminders!!

ESPN 9,25pm : LIVP - MANUTD
ESPN 11.55am : ARSL - CHEL

------

So sien lah! Stupid weather. If you hadn't known, the Jeram Besu trip was cancelled due to the folks at Raub, being closest town to Jeram Besu, was asked to be on stand-by in relief centers for the floods. Along with Pahang towns on the east coast, like Kuantan and Pekan.

Initially. prior to the call to stand-by, I was already monitoring the situation in Raub, which thoughts of flood would have been stupid. First of all, Raub is next to Fraser's Hill. Unless God decides to flood the world once more, I wouldn't bet on it to be covered in water.

Raub is so inwards of Malaysia lah, next to the Tahan Mountain range.

Secondly, under Weilxuan's suggestion, I went to check the weather through the Malaysian weather forecast website. Which turned out to be the same cloudy-rain-rain for the consecutive 6 days. Now, unless the weather runs on a scheduled time-table, it looked to me like it was kinda weird. but nevertheless...

...the trip was decided to be cancelled.
NOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~

------

I just read the papers today. The people at Raub are allowed to move back in again. Heaven's idea of a Christmas prank on me eh?

twinkle twinkle little star

Its 4am now. My roommate's asleep and its kinda quiet. why am i awake at this wee hours of dawn, you may ask. damn hell, my 2.4 paper's 11 hrs away.

I look out at my window and all i see is the college coated in colours of crimson orange overveiled by coats of shadows. the streetlights shine along the road leading from it, numerous and bright, but of no apparent use at this hour of the night. Beyond the college yet lies further, buildings encrusted with small little orange lamps shinning at me distantly. Far, as they may, as if trying to vividly prove their existence to everyone else awake now.

I wonder who else is awake now. and what they're doing. It would perhaps be quite amazing and interesting to be able to know of that. and even knowing what they're thinking too would be cool; "boy in the blue shirt, pull your pants up and wash your hand right now. ", "drunk clubbing girl, get sober. you look damn ugly like that."

or maybe, "boy sitting at your desk. stop blogging now and get on with your studying right now." ahahaha.

i wonder what are you doing now?

and i wonder what would the stars be thinking? looking at the very land that they have shined upon for the past thousands of years gradually changing over time to become the very reflection of themselves.

"alamak, copycat." ..?

would they be angry... that they want to be the only things shinning at night? or maybe proud... just like how a parent would see their child to grow up to be just like them? or maybe they would be emotionless.. for they are actually nothing but ROCKS OF FIRE FAR FAR AWAY FROM EARTH?

...

ala. dun like that. emo-skit. sometimes being too clear-headed isnt good too eh?

*edit: yes! my logitech-typing woke my roommate up. woots~ and ya, i still cant upload any pics. sorry abt tt...

Sum 41 - Fat Lip (3:00)

It's terrible when you get disfigured, eg if someone pours acid on your pretty face.

It's horrible when people look at your with weird looks and with bits and pieces of disgust.

It's even worse when you tell someone about your condition, someone LAUGHS at you eg, aka. Min Ee.

Great.

Declaration of Temporary Freedom

*breathes in deep*

*breathes out loud*

I A M F R E E ! ! !

yipee~

finally with the progress test 1 over, I'm free for a week's break of the CNYs. But that's probably the only holiday I'm going to have in like, 3 month's time. That's kinda damned, don't you think?

Meet Jessica and Ashley.

I wanted to blog yest, when it was Valentines. "Ala, jangan emo-lah, Jomi" rings to my mind. =D Valentines is probably one of the most wrenchful times of a single's life. What's more to say walking through Pyramid alone and lonely? And on top of that, the progress tests to cope with. But, but, thank God that its all over.

At least for the time being.

I hope my freedom lasts for slightly longer... at least I get to spend tonight free. Tomorrow will be a ride back to JB at 9am (should be). Back in JB, I'll be a family slave yet another time. No own plans, no altec lansing speakers, no lying on bed thinking about crap. In fact, my mum has already booked me to cut my house lawn. According to reports, there are 56 species of fungi unique to that ecosystem, and the UNESCO has designated it as an UN protected area.

If only she lived in my jungle.

.

I was bored that day, as i drank water, I read the label on my 5.5L Spritzer mineral water. To my upmost horror:

"Lokasi Punca Air/ Source Location:
Lot 904, Jalan Reservoir, Off Jalan Air Kuning"

For those who don't understand, the words in bold means "Yellow Water Road"

O.o

The Need for Speed

I seriously need to get my plans in check.

Chinese New Year is rapidly approaching, and I haven't finish my Chinese New Year shopping yet!!! Argh... Keeping In View that my Progress Test 1 is storming its way to my house like how a hurricane approaches.

And yes, I do go shopping.

What's left on my shopping list are quite a few expensive items *gulps* considering that I generally pay for my own stuff. Reimbursement or not, I don't really know. But, what I can do is to invest in nice cloths now and hopefully reap returns when my relatives are sooo stunned by my ultimately-killer-killing looks that they accidentally give me a RM50 ang bow.

Ala, you think Joke Haven meh?

What's left would be:
1) Shoe(s)
2) Another pair of jeans/pants. Yup, hot ones at that.
3) Beg baru.

But so much things, so little time. So easy meh, finding stuff you like. Considering that there is no more sales ( T^T ) and there is so many classes. Today's a free day thou. Mr Simon (my only class of the day) has unfortunately (AHEM) flown to Sarawak to teach chimpanzees how to climb trees and do tax. Yet again, I don't really have the motivation to go out. Go out = spend money = get poorer or die avoiding.

Oh well, I'm meeting my classmates at college. Gonna watch Deathnote 2 at probably 12am. So sucky, DN2 has been released such a long time ago in other countries. I could have downloaded them if I wanted to. Tapi must support oliginal mah. Right?

Btw, if you're trying to burn time, Heroes is nice. Anime-freaks would perphaps like Mai-Hime? (burned down both series in a week. so geng.)

BOOM! - an explosion of words!!!

It has been a long, long time ever since I have been online, less to say on msn and blogging. Many things have happened during the short time span of 2 weeks since the beginning of this new year... Apart from trying to cope with my class schedule, but also have been on a path of chick-scouting and self realisation.

Speaking of my class schedule, i just realised yesterday that i had accidentally missed 4 classes ie. 12 hours of lectures in a single week! argh... One, because the internet was down (reports of giant sea turtles trying to snap internet cables in Taiwan). Two, because someone asked me to check back only on Saturday. *fumes* but anyways, I'll have to make some drastic changes in my timetable to accomodate my classes. How? I dunno yet.

Chick-scouting: the scout for chickens and rooster (yum). New intakes of CAT & ACCA students make me feel quite excited. Especially that I'm kinda considered a "senior" in college now (part 2 ACCA ok ahem ahem), I have to look out for my "juniors". Not that we exercise our seniority often, but if there was ever a damsel in distress in college, I guess i would be the first one to blink there.

Oh ya, the tou fu fa auntie that used to sell tou fu fa (duh) outside the college has been missing of lately. Hope nothing happens to them. Or else there would be no more tau jiong to drink. T.T

Speaking of chickens, I was wondering that day about chicken parts. If say we wanted to order fried chicken from some melayu guys;

"bang, I tak nak sayap ah, boleh kasi I tu behe ayam dan buah dada ayam?"

errr....

ok. Stuff aside, Ive been spending some time by myself for some time. As of now, I'm stepping into my third year staying away from home. Often, many ask how's life like that, no parents, no control and stuff. Being back home (JB) time to time, I really couldnt get used to staying with dictators again. I had gotten used to governing my own life, to a certain extent now.

Good or bad...?

Its really tough to say. Being out means looking out for yourself. You'll get used to it. I know many people out there understand me well. It's just different lah. But one thing, what I strongly understood is that chinese saying: rely on parents at home, rely on friends when outside (rough translation, sorry huang lao shi and mr hang.. haha). Thanks to all my friends for taking such good care for me, whether if you have insulted me more times, kicked me or raped me.

As such, one of my new year resolutions this year is to expand my social circle and to take care of my friends (boss speaking here). KIV that I'm due for NS later this year, along with me offending "tai sui"* and that my NS clashes with the 7th month, confirm I'll make lots of "friends" lah!

*nervous laughter*

Batting rox! Cheers~

*Mr Tai Sui is a chinese deity that happens to make people offend him all the time, regardless of whether you have even seen him before or not. According to old folktales, it depends on your chinese horoscope ie. which year were you borned. One of the horoscopes offending our Boss this year is the Snake, which is mine (I'm so innocent T.T).

The victims would, accordingly, have bad luck in the year and things wouldn't be as smooth for him/her. Ask the Dragon batch (one year older) to confirm your suspicions. As much as I didn't like it, ya, its true.
