At first you raise the cup and the fragrant smell of coffee harasses your nose, as if saying:" Oo baby, drink me! drink me!"
Then, when you take your first sip, scared of being scalded, but yet eagerly taking your first taste. Unfortunately, you'll taste nothing but tasteless foams, with the occasional rare sample of hot coffee.
As you get to the Mocha itself, as you drink, you savour the coffee, but with thick underlying channels of sweet hot chocolate running through your mouth. Just as when you're enjoying the sweetness which is made so apparent by the surrounding bitterness, the sweetness disappears, replaced by bitter coffee again.
But then, elsewhere in your mouth, a channel of bitter momentarily turns to sweetness and another turns bitter. Addictively, you stumble in deeper more and more, more and more, in search of that lost sweetness you're so desperately longing for.
At the end, occasionally, you'll get all the chocolate concentrated at the bottom of the mug. That's when you get your treat - a smacking thick but yet delicate mix of hot chocolate where its mostly sweet, coupled with a tinge of bitterness.
Isn't that how life should be? Sigh.
