Yay~ my exams are finally over.
How was it? Erm... what's over is over lah, k? *wide sad grin*
I was sorting my stuff earlier on, managed to come up with a list of 10 things to do in the next 2 days. Very exhausting indeed. However, the focus of this post isn't about that. It's about a few pictures I found in my phone over the course of the past 5 months of my life in London.
Well, these aren't really a faithful or complete representation, but again, memories aren't always complete, right? Like data corruption like that.
1. Imaginary Friends' Pepper Project Contest [via Artgerm]
I had enlisted the help of Andrew, and together, we promised each other to world domination with our art work to win the Pepper Project competition (lol). But apparently, procrastination had a stronger run of results (like Obama) and soon, the deadline was over.
But nevertheless, I really honed my drawing skills in perspectives and human faces/bodies. Still not good yet, but improving. And what about the Work-In-Progress artwork(s)? Let's just say... in some folder far far away.
2. Sarahkatelee's (I bet you'll get more google hits now) Challenge to Cookery.
Sarah's out-and-out mockery and challenge forced me to really sharpen up my cooking skills. At first I could only stick with simple stuff like this:
Basic boiling, grilling etc. Then, I went on to this:
Nasi Biriyani!
Although it doesn't look the same, not even similiar to the nasi we get back home, but the Northern Indians from India taught me to cook it their "authentic" way. Slowly lah, you start picking up speed and skills. Now, looking at the food and smelling the air, I can roughly define the major ingredients of a dish. Thou till a certain extent a cooking noob, I AM STILL IMPROVING!
!@#$%^&* (hears Sarah's mocking in the distance)
3. My first trip to Asda.
Asda is the UK equivalent of the American's Walmart. Well, they're actually from the same managing company. Anyways, I had been buying foodstuff from the small Tesco stalls nearby and this trip was to a humongous Asda supermart. Despite being big, I still managed to spot a few familiar faces.
Introducing, Spongebob Squarepants!
As a cake!
4. Winter was cold...
Really, really cold.
The sky was always gloomy, dampening my spirits no matter what mental heater I used.
Tell me how you don't emo? No wonder the angmos drink so much here.
5. Visit to the Emirates Stadiam.
Towards May, when the weather was turning better and warmer, I managed to hang onto a few friends whom we went to visit the Emirates Stadium together. Sadly, it was the home of the ****** club in the world, Arsenal FC.
But this was a really good picture (by my lowly artistic standards). With my cameraphone nia leh~
6. The Mugging Run-up
The exams came right after the next bend and soon we were struggling on our knees and crying for help. Exams and stress!
The F7 paper, Financial Reporting seems to defy the theory of "practice makes perfect".
My study partner, who had finished his paper a few days ahead of me. Make me damn jealous la, must take many of his photos and make sure he gets humiliated. ahahaha~
7. The End.
And just today, everything ended. FINALLY!
FINALLY, a chapter of a 5 month journey of a Malaysian Guy can finally take a page break. Immediately after the exams, me and my study buddy Charlie decided to grap a cuppa Frappuccino from Starbucks, which is so goddamnly awesome. On the way to Oxford Street, I managed to snap this, again, by my standards, nice picture of the Big Ben.
It was a great weather btw. And I love great weather. Cause the girls here will wear, ahem, less.
Ahem ahem.
8. Epilogue.
And in the next 72 hours, my parents will be flying from Malaysia to London. We will meet up, and embark on our journey to a 10 day tour of Scotland.
If you're ever planning to drop by UK, remember to buy shampoo from Malaysia next time! It's so much cheaper!
And for all your attention and concern and challenges (ahem), a huge bow and a huge kowtow. From here, it is highly likely that Yetanotherhowe will be resting for the next few days, probably a week, hard to say. But in the next few days, I'll be scheduling posts (try to, never try before) to fill in about the few "do it or you'll die a horrible death" tags that I'm cursed to do, and also to fill in 2 seriously frigging weird dreams I had in the runup to the exams.
K lah, see you when I see you. Remember to watch Euro2008!
Support the "Oranje" Netherlands/Holland!!! Got Van De Sar there! =P
