Taman Pertanian, Shah Alam!

The Taman Pertanian trip was a blast! I must say that it was one of the funnest (and painful) outings i have ever had. To those who made it successful (erm.. oh well.), a great thanks you and a great big hug and a kiss from me to you. To those who weren't able to make it, remember to come for the next trip ok?

Crew: Kahming, Mindy, Suetyi, Goonwey, Weilxuan, Jeremy, Kristyn, Alex, Lily and ME.

Taman Pertanian was basically a lost jungle city in the midst of Shah Alam.

Check this out.. Bukit Sapu Tangan.

Now i know where all my lost handkerchiefs went to.

And of we went to grab a few bikes to cycle around. Talking about energy conservation. Was testing out a few bikes to grab a suitable one that was working fine and stuff. And since I am the "deemed" labourer of the class I got to carry the bulk of the food stuff.

Which landed me with this ferocious looking bicycle wei.

"Speed demon 360... whooooorrrr... oh no oh no..OH patah kaki oh kepala meletup! "

Lily came without the precious vital art of cycling. And thus, we tried to teach her, but i think when too many people tells you to leave your left foot at the same time, you would have been better off riding a unicycle.

And so, she gave up and continued our journey with jeremy on foot.

Taman Pertanian was essentially a maze of trees and more trees

We are in the middle photo, trying to figure out which road to go. The map we got from them didn't seem to be accurate.

Oh well, as if any Malaysian maps does.

So we checked our compasses, the wind speed and the direction of my hair was combed, and decided to go straight on.

"Come on! come on... let's go!"

Suprisingly, there WERE actually places to go to in the Park. Like this gateway to the Adventure Park which had literally nothing in it. =.="

And how can a botanical garden in Malaysia survive the political pressure by not planting a few of the infamous durian trees?

And a few more weird ones. Check this out now, a disturbingly wirey rambutan standing to the height of your waist.

Belimbing plants (starfruit).

And the more we cycled, the more troubled we were getting. How come we weren't getting to our rabbit farm???

Another look at the map revealed why.

White is where we were supposed to go.

Red was where we were heading: out of the map.

Damn.

So clever la, going off without checking the map first?

The journey back to our starting point (the circle) was equally fun by the way, with many steep slopes and climbs to cycle on.

And this Jalan Adil road was where Suetyi and my phone fell. Suetyi was okie la, only a few cuts on the legs, thighs, arms and palms along with some disfigurement of the face. 30 stitches only mah.

Ok ok, I'm joking. But my phone... argh~ fell when i was about to take a photo of the fall. a bloody crack & a deep scratch on my screen. They call it "balasan".

I called it "an accident".

Nyahahahhaha...

And along the new *ahem* revised road, which offered more things to look at, we did quite a few stopovers.

Of uncanny resemblance and scaled minaturisation.

Kahming found another of his long lost friend... the parrot.

They put the poor Sang Kancils and Si Kuda's on a strict diet of nothing. You should have seen them there; the enclosure was small and clearly overpopulated, there was no sign of grass at all, with the whole area of grass in the enclosure whipped clean by the animals. As a result, i think the animal turned to drinking a lot of water, which explained why they kept crowding at the water holes. They were so hungry that the horses even bit a branch i fed them for fun and started chewing on it! Do you think horses eat hard branches for fun?

This is such a serious problem, man. My emphaties.

Skinny animals not nice to eat.. not nice... >"<

And i wonder what do they use this cage of 1 meter height for?

lol. Edwin can't fit in la. make new one.

And for the finale, check this out wei... Guess who?

Ying-ness. Cheers!

==========================

Right after the Taman Pertanian trip, we heading back home for a fast bath and got ready for Kai Shien's birthday party @kaishien's place.

Oh finally, somewhere else other than Pyramid.

By the way, Lily's birthday was due on Thursday, 9/11. One was now 19 years old and another is now 17. Yay~

One of the many faces of the mysterious bunny.

The one on the left was a German Black Forest for him and the one on the right was a Honeydew cake for her. Isn't it interesting how they determine the nationality of cakes?

"Mum, I'm borned in Malaysia, therefore deemed a Malaysian by law."

"NO. You're a German and that's it."

=.="

Oh ya... Here's introducing the newest entry into my collection of borthday party colllectables: The Worse Cut Cake. Wynnlung = 0wn4g3.

Muahahaha.. you see? no center one. hahhahaha...

We got him a very smart looking shirt & a little bunny that absolutely reminded me of Kaishien, thanks to Willy's superbed judgement. Lily found herself walking off with a new bag! Nice nice, just of the right colour to go with her furry brown jacket.

This is just a little something that we did after the party, while waiting for Willy's mum to pick us up. right... (here). Enjoy!

Happy Birthday all! Wishing ya' a great year ahead of you. May all your wishes come true!
